Dress up

It was a long day, and it was only two in the afternoon. I spent the morning and early afternoon at a development meeting. A dozen people throwing ideas for a new sitcom - some of them good. I was in favor of an old friend. The meeting had lasted five hours and nothing had been done. I had a headache.

I entered the house without waiting. Sometimes you come home knowing who’s there and what they’re probably doing - watching TV, surfing the net, sleeping, whatever. Today I wasn’t aware of my surroundings. My mind was trying to face the whirlwind of thoughts that the meeting had generated. By entering the house, my first thought was to have a beer.
